The Design: We honor all of the women who have wanted to play, did play and are currently playing the wonderful games of baseball and softball with our Belles graphic. Beautiful, bold, inspiring as how we felt our graphic needed to be in order to show the essence of women in and around our game. Inspired by the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (1943-1954), 'Belles' shows you how committed those women were then to providing a quality product on and off the field. As for the long ball, the ‘Babe Ruth’ of the A-A GPBL was Eleanor Callow. No one had more career home runs or triples than Callow, 55 & 60 respectively. She’s also the all-time leader in Slugging at .549. Joanne Weaver is the all-time leader in Average (.359), On-Base Percentage (.404) and OPS (.927) while hitting 38 career HR’s.
